DJ’s now two for two in this Climacool navy gradient polo after following up his U.S. Open win with a victory at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational. Even though I think his monochromatic moves are more impactful, I’m guessing he stays with the hot hand come Sunday at Royal Troon.

We don’t see too many pop-art-style polos on tour, but I love this look on Na. Graphic geometric prints are trending in other pockets of the menswear market, and there is plenty of room for more of this in golf. And now for the usual disclaimer: As with any other bold look, when wearing something this graphic make sure the rest of your outfit is simple and subtle.

Once you’ve mastered the monochromatic move in basic colors, the next step is to turn up the volume a little and put some brighter blues into your rotation. The only caveat is be careful not to wear the look out. Too many rounds in this suit and you’ll be the butt of a few Blue Man group jokes. Break this look up with white pants and polos and you’ll have a whole set of fresh summer looks.

Looks like Uniqlo took a page out from Nike’s Blade book and added this tipped-band collar polo into Scott’s WGC-Bridgestone script. Sure, Scott looks good in everything. Yet this is a fun new style for any of us out there looking for a little change of pace. On or off the course, this new shape is just enough to set you apart from the field.

PGA Tour apparel scripting could use some more consistency for non-major events, and Piercy is a great example of what that might look like. If more guys picked a pattern, color or theme and let that drive their style strategy for a few days, they would look a lot better off. Way to play Piercy.

Using small details the right way can make a major impact on your total look. A contrast pocket on a classic stripe polo is a cool way to do just that.

This week, Clarke made the announcement, with company president Arnault, that Loro Piana will be the official clothiers of the European Ryder Cup team. These guys were bound to be one sartorial set with Clarke at the helm, but the LP endorsement potentially just lifted them to another level. Will the Euro’s hoist the cup in cashmere this year?

The South Korean golfer showed us how to soften up the classic camo look at the French Open by putting this design together in a muted floral iteration. Another cool take on a very popular pattern.

An intriguing way to create interest in your outfit is with this type of digital mélange design. The straightforward black-and-white flecks make this easy to coordinate with plenty of other gear in your closet, and the super clear, optical setting of this neat pattern can really pop any hint of color you’ve got going in the rest of your kit.
