Callaway
Introduced in 2006, the Opti-Fit system has 28 shaft combinations with FT-5 and Hyper X driver heads. Also available are 23 iron heads (X-20, FT, Big Bertha, Fusion Wide Sole, FT i-brid) for 667 head-shaft combinations. Available in 1,000 locations (callawaygolf.com).
Exotics/Tour Edge
Launched this spring, the fitting cart offers some 236 combinations using Bazooka GeoMax irons, Exotics XLD and XCG drivers and Exotics CB2 fairway heads. Options include 19 driver shafts and 17 iron shafts (touredge.com).
Nike
The 360° Fitting System matches up every club, including drivers (Sumo² 5900, Sumo 5000), irons (Sumo², Slingshot 4D, CCi) and wedges (SV) along with 80 shafts. The system also uses Nike's launch monitor and Intelligent Fitting Software (nikegolf.com).
Ping
Adjustable clubs include driver (G10, Rapture) and iron options (G10, i10, S58, Rapture) with 30 iron and 20 driver shafts. The nFlight fitting software, based on 20,000 Ping performance tests, can suggest set makeup options from a few hits (pinggolf.com).
Taylormade
SelectFit, introduced in late 2006, incorporates 186 driver combinations and 258 iron possibilities. The 17 driver heads (Burner, r7 CGB Max) include several with movable weights, pushing the options into the thousands. Available in 1,000 locations (taylormadegolf.com).
