Istvan not only had never been to Augusta National, he'd never been to a golf tournament, but he threw himself into the assignment and delighted in making sense of it all back at the Golf Digest house each night."I had absolutely no idea," he says. "The space, the distance, the hole, the spectacle ... one guy struggling alone in the middle of all this extravaganza. ... I found something absurd about it."
