After conducting attitude surveys in 1994 and 2002, in late 2007 Golf Digest did two pieces of research, one with a sample of 350 golfers, and another with a sample of 650 golfers and nongolfers. The surveys were carried out via 12-minute telephone interviews -- 1,000 of them in all.
