ORLANDO — Golf is at a unique intersection where sport merges with entertainment and lifestyle. With every golfer having the ability to curate every aspect of his or her game exactly to their wishes—from the socks on their feet to the putter in their hand—it's an experience unlike any other. It's this reason why premium luggage and lifestyle brand Tumi has entered the golf realm to elevate the way its customers can experience the game. Ahead of the 2024 PGA Merchandise Show, where the brand is making its golf debut, Tumi announced multiyear partnerships with the LPGA and PGA Tour, naming Tumi the official luggage for both organizations.

"This partnership not only signifies our shared commitment to excellence but also underscores our collective dedication to empowering women in sports around the world,” said LPGA Commissioner Mollie Marcoux Samaan in a press release. “As a global tour with stops in 10 countries worldwide, Tumi’s innovative golf collection is a perfect match for the LPGA, and our partnership will reflect the spirit of determination, quality and style that defines both the LPGA and Tumi. We look forward to a strong collaboration between the LPGA, PGA Tour and Tumi, celebrating the journeys and triumphs of our athletes both on and off the course."

The collection was about finding the synergies between golf and sport luxury—a journey that began with color. The base colors of the collection, black and off-white (with accents of tan), are minimal by intention, shifting the focus to the elements of the products and their functionality. The minimal-yet-refined trend is growing in popularity with golf bags. From Titleist to Vessel, brands are moving away from massive logos to more muted, understated base colors. But make no mistake, the minimalist design doesn't mean there's a lack of game-enhancing features.

Each of Tumi's headlining golf bag features soft-touch padding, USB-C charging ports and cooler pockets (which can hold up to 12 cans of beer, the Tumi team having tested this FYI), along with customizable monogram patches for an added element of personalization. The three golf bags—a range bag, a stand bag and cart bag—were constructed with the brand's signature nylon fabric technology for high-performance durability. The collection's golf and travel bags start at $795 and range to $1,595.

In addition to the signature bags, we've had our eyes on the more lifestyle products that would not only give your game an elevated look, but your off-course activities, too. The golf duffle is a luxe twist on a weekender bag, suited for your golf trip needs or just for carrying your golf must-haves from the car to the course. Equipped with straps so it can also function as a backpack, this duffle has soft-touch lined pockets for your phone and other belongings, as well as water-resistant lining for storing golf shoes or damp clothing (for those rounds that you get stuck in inclement weather).

And while the days of gift guides are behind us (for now), one thing that's on our wish list this year is the golf cigar case. Whether you're an aficionado or want to “flex for the gram,” this carbon-fiber cigar case (which holds up to three of your favorite stogies) is an elevated accessory we didn't know we needed until now. An added bonus about this case is that you can adjust the length of the holder to cater it to the size of your cigar—a small detail, yet significant and thoughtful.

A global brand partnering with golf's global tours will be fun to watch unfold as the game opens its arms to new players. Andrew Dawson, Tumi president, sees this collaboration and collection as a step toward an expanding world for the brand and for golf. "At Tumi, we are always evolving to meet the needs and interests of our consumers and like-minded audiences,” Dawson said. “Serving our community of both competitive and leisure athletes was a deliberate yet authentic next step for our brand."
