Ready for her close-up? Paige Spiranac set to make her major pro golf tour debut next month

November 24, 2015

Golf historians will label 2015 as the Year of Jordan Spieth, but when it comes to social media influence, Paige Spiranac has been this season's major force. After graduating from San Diego State in the spring, Spiranac became an Instagram sensation and even found herself in the October issue of Golf Digest. And now, she'll find herself playing on a major professional golf tour. Well, for one week, at least.

Spiranac will tee it up in next month's Dubai Ladies Masters, the final event on the Ladies European Tour schedule. She'll face a field that includes defending champ Shanshan Feng, a four-time winner on the LPGA Tour.

Spiranac also made the announcement on Instagram, while showing off her bunker skills:

Earlier this year, Spiranac helped the Aztecs win the Mountain West Conference title and over the summer she captured the Colorado State Match Play. Spiranac told Golf Digest, "I want to play on the LPGA Tour, and I'm ready to do whatever it takes to get there." Playing well in Dubai would be a good start.
