Day 17: Learning To Hit More Fairways

Off the tee, golf is about getting into good position. Why not practice that exact skill on the range? To simulate the challenge of hitting fairways, set aside 14 balls from your bucket and pick a pair of targets 30 yards apart. Go through your full routine for each shot, visualizing an actual hole on your course and the shot you need for that situation. Make a practice swing, get into your setup and hit the drive. Give yourself 10 points for a "fairway hit," subtract 10 for a miss, and give yourself a zero for miss that comes on what would have been the safe side for that hole. The next session, see if you can better your score from last time.
