Brian Harman delivers on hole-in-one tradition, buys drinks at the Barclays
Golf has traditions out the wazoo. Some are endearing -- the final round of the U.S. Open on Father's Day, the rowdy galleries at Phoenix, anything Augusta related -- while others are head-scratchers.
This falls into the latter.
When a player makes a hole-in-one, it's custom for that person to buy a round of drinks. Which doesn't make sense; shouldn't the ace bestow drinks upon its owner?
Either way, Brian Harman found himself in a predicament thanks to his historic round on Sunday at the Barclays, which featured two holes-in-one. Harman, however, was a man of integrity, and paid up:
