The Making of The Trophy Case

What goes into developing the cases that protect some of the most coveted trophies in golf? Luxury luggage brand TUMI recently signed on to be the Official Luggage of the LPGA and PGA TOUR, and have been chosen to create custom trophy cases for the FedEx Cup, Solheim Cup and CME Tour Championship trophies. Golf Digest’s crews visited with the TUMI design team at their New York headquarters to get a first look at their work and talk to Creative Director Victor Sanz about the thinking behind the designs. From the patented 19-degree-contour aluminum exterior to the polished reflective interior, these cases have been developed for champion players whose passion for the game of golf mirrors TUMI’s passion for design.
