Kim set the tournament and Sedgefield Country Club course record, though he narrowly missed a 50-footer for eagle for 59 on his final hole. He is the 36-hole leader at 12-under par, one stroke ahead of Kevin Na, Jim Furyk and Hideki Matsuyama.

"This week, starting yesterday, everything feels good," Kim said. "Yesterday, a couple missed putts, but everything feels good today. Had putting practice a lot, so that's why I'm putting better this week."
Furyk, who shot a PGA Tour record 58 in his last round at the Travelers Championship two weeks ago, shot a six-under 64.
Rickie Fowler sits at six under through 36 holes, tied for 12th with Graeme McDowell and Billy Horschel.
Patrick Reed rallied on the back nine, securing birdies on his final three holes to make the cut on the number at three under.
Players who missed the cut include Justin Thomas (two over), Danny Lee (one over) and PGA Championship winner Jimmy Walker (two over).
