The Winners' Bags
Vijay Singh opened the FedEx Cup playoffs with a win at The Barclays and a new twist to his equipment -- no fairway woods. Instead, Singh put a pair of Adams Idea a3 Boxer hybrids in play, along with adding a 64-degree Cleveland CG 12 wedge. On the LPGA Tour, Cristie Kerr proved you don't need new to win, using fairway wood, iron and wedge models that are each at least four years old, while on the Champions Tour Tom Kite added one more victory to Guerin Rife's impressive putter-win total on that tour.
