Needing an up-and-down to save par and maintain a one-shot lead, Billy Hurley III knocked it into the hole with his pitch shot from 35 yards for birdie on the par-4 15th hole to produce a two-shot cushion that proved to be enough. The club Hurley used was a Cleveland 588 Custom 60-degree wedge.
Hurley’s bag also proves that not every PGA Tour pro needs long irons in the bag. Hurley starts his iron set at the 5-iron, preferring to carry three hybrids in an effort to assist his long game.
