Why Adam Scott will have even more women following him this week
By Alex Myers
Adam Scott, golf's top heartthrob (despite what the voters of our second Hottest Golfers contest might have you believe), will attract even more attention from the opposite sex this week at the Sony Open for a reason you probably wouldn't think of: his caddie. No, we're not talking about Steve Williams. Gross.
Stevie is actually taking the week off to drive racecars around New Zealand and in his place will be Benji Weatherley, professional surfer. Yep, those guys, especially ones with really cool names, usually do pretty well with the ladies. The AP's Doug Ferguson tweeted this video of Weatherley owning some gnarly waves (is that a real phrase?):
Scott knows Weathereley through legendary surfer Kelly Slater and the two surfed "The Pipeline" on Oahu's North Shore on Tuesday before Wednesday's pro-am, according to Golf Week. Weatherley says Scott is "more of a 12-handicap" when it comes to surfing.
So get ready for the impressively biceped golfer and the profesional surfer to cruise around Waialae CC together this week. Course marshals, get ready, that is.
