Where does your school rank in the latest women's coaches' poll?
We've got a new No. 1 in the Division I poll, with UCLA grabbing the top spot. Meanwhile Nova Southeastern remains the unanimous top pick among the Division II ranks and Methodist stays atop the Division III ranking.
One note for readers: voting for the poll was closed on April 14, which means that the results from the ACC, SEC and Pac-10 Championships where not available to voters.
While finishing third at yesterday's Pac-10 Championship, UCLA had been coming off an impressive win at the Ping/ASU Invitational earlier this month, explaining how the Bruins received 20 of the 24 first-place votes. It was the first time that UCLA had been ranked No. 1 since the final poll of the 2009-10 season and 11th time overall since Golf World resumed the poll in 2001-02.
Nova Southeastern has won six of eight tournaments this season, including their conference championship yesterday, with the remaining two being events hosted by Division I foes. The Sharks have held the top spot in every poll during the 2010-11 season.
Not much surprise here with Methodist again being ranked No. 1. That said, that DePauw claimed eight first-place votes in interesting since Methodist has won seven titles this season in nine starts after claiming the Jack Leaman Championship on Sunday. Could there be a legitimate rival to keep the Monarchs from claiming their 14th straight NCAA title next month?
