On Monday, Tiger Woods spoke at Congressional CC to promote his upcoming Quicken Loans National event. Following an update on his recovery from surgery -- mainly, that he still is without a timetable for return -- Woods wrapped things up by attempting a ceremonial shot at Congressional's 10th hole, a par-3.
Then he tried a second shot. Followed by a third.
Despite standing 100 yards from the green, Woods failed to clear the pond on all three of his attempts:
This isn't the end of the world. As someone pointed out on Twitter, Jordan Spieth found the water twice at Augusta this spring, and he's No. 2 in the world. So...progress?
