Tyrrell Hatton drops hard 'f--- you' 0.1 seconds after impact, remains the hot-mic king
Peanut butter and jelly. Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce. Spaghetti and meatballs. Shaq and Kobe. Tyrrell Hatton and a hot mic. What do all of these things have in common?
The answer is simple - they are some of the greatest combinations this world of ours has to offer, always delivering the goods in our time of need. Midnight snack to quell your hunger? PB&J. Need 30 combined fantasy points on a Monday night? Mahomes and Kelce got ya. In need of a laugh on a Twitter timeline that's full of doom and gloom? Allow Hatton and this scorching-hot mic to be of assistance:
So, so much to unpack here. Let's start with the hilariously obvious - this is Hatton whilst leading the golf tournament. First place. Alone at the time. This is Tyrrell at his absolute best. If you think that's stopping him from letting out a little rage, you're sorely mistaken.
Next - was this directed at someone? It took him all of 0.1 seconds after impact to snap his neck to his right, usually indicating that someone made a noise and is thus at fault for his wayward drive. If that is the case, he couldn't have been calmer about it.
Which brings us to ouur final point - it's likely this was just directed at himself. Perhaps he allowed himself a moment to attempt to find someone in the crowd to blame it on before realizing he may have just made a bad swing. In which case "f--- you," as in me, is the perfect summation of a bad swing and something we can all relate to / have said before. Take away his world-class skills, and the Englishman is truly one of us.
The good news is Hatton is still leading the DP World Tour Championship, though now he's sharing the lead at 12 under with Matthew Fitzpatrick. To the surprise of no one, he wasn't all that happy about it afterward.
