Today in golfers showing you how difficult Oakmont is: More balls mysteriously disappearing in rough
OAKMONT, Pa. -- By now a consistent theme has arisen out of Oakmont: It's hard. Like putting off the green, leaving chips in the rough hard. It has reached such a point, in fact, that competitors have turned chronicling the difficulty of Oakmont on social media into something of a sport.
We captured a couple of such moments from the Snapchat accounts of Smylie Kaufman, Justin Thomas and Bryson DeChambeau. It's horrifying. Well, for them it's horrifying. For the rest of us it's kind of funny.
We'll be following all week to see how golfers respond to Oakmont. Here's hoping they keep their senses of humor intact.
