Tiger to play three in a row?

WJRT, the ABC television affiliate in Flint, Mich., is reporting that Tiger Woods has committed to playing in the Buick Open in nearby Grand Blanc, next week, which would mark his first appearance since 2006 in this tournament that he's won twice.

The news is unusual on two fronts: that he committed early -- he usually doesn't commit to a tournament until the Friday before -- and that ihe intends to play three tournaments in a row for the first time this year. The WGC-Bridgestone Invitational and the PGA Championship are scheduled for the following two weeks.
