Thursday's forecast: 'Rainfall may reach one inch'

Weather.com says there is a 70 percent chance of rain in the Farmingdale, N.Y., area for Thursday and the first round of the U.S. Open. Here's the full entry:

"Rain. High around 65F. Winds SE a 10 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 70%. Rainfall may reach one inch."

The rest of the week is only marginally better: A few showers on Friday, with a 30 percent chance of rain; showers on Saturday with a 40 percent chance of rain; and thundershowers on Sunday with a 40 percent chance of rain.

As if the players don't have enough to deal with already.
