The Chicago Cubs bullpen knows how to party
The Chicago Cubs are nursing what many refer to as a World Series "hangover." After breaking the 108-year-old curse in wild fashion over the Cleveland Indians last November, the Cubbies have had some struggles in 2017.
That being said, they're still just 4.5 games out of first place in their division, with half of the season left to climb back and try to grab a playoff spot. On Saturday night they took on the Pittsburgh Pirates at Wrigley Field, and found themselves in an early 1-0 hole in the fourth inning. That's when rookie Ian Happ smashed a solo shot to tie the game, and Kyle Schwarber followed with an absolute rocket to take the lead that Pirates centerfielder Andrew McCutchen didn't even bother going after.
That's when the bullpen began an epic dance party.
The World Series victory vibes are still real, and the bullpen rave shows this team doesn't plan on not having fun, no matter where they are in the standings. They weren't done dancing either.
Unfortunately, the Cubs would lose the game 4-2, but managed to provide some viral gold in the process.
