Though the frigid, black void known as the the NFL offseason may be officially upon us, take heart, huddled football masses. Before we enter long dark of our football-addled souls, there is one last flicker of sunlight for us to savor: The 2018 NFL Bad Lip Reading video, which comes correct this year as it has every year since it's ridiculous(ly glorious) inception.
As they say, it's all about the simple things, and it doesn't get more simple than giggling like a 13-year-old as Kelechi Osmele grunts "I chewed up a cow's neck", Andrew Luck argues with his imaginary friend, and Mark Ingram rattles off his new nicknames, including but by no means limited to "Coco Bolivia", "Human Stick Observer", and "Dolphin the Goldfish".
Is it sophisticated stuff? No. Is it even all that novel anymore? Not really. But on the internet, where bits, trends, themes, and entire cultural movements can burn out in an afternoon, NFL Bad Lip Reading is still going strong and that says all you need to know...or at least it looks like it does.
