Celebrity Golfers
This stunning golf stat proves Patrick Mahomes is human (sort of)

Despite what that dopey new ranking by his fellow NFL players, everyone knows Patrick Mahomes is the best football player on the planet. No offense, Tyreek Hill. Heck, you could also make a case for Mahomes as the world's top all-around athlete.
Besides already establishing himself as one of the all-time great quarterbacks, Mahomes was also a high school star in baseball, basketball, and just about any sport he tried. We've also seen him flash plenty of ability on the golf course, including in Capital One's The Match last year. But he revealed a golf stat that proves he's actually somewhat human at Kansas City Chiefs training camp on Tuesday. Sort of.
Mahomes participated in a town hall-style show on SiriusXM NFL Radio with hosts Alex Smith and Bruce Murray. And they began the Q&A by asking Mahomes about his golf. The QB talked about teammate Travis Kelce being a "bad influence" on the course, noted that he took a year off from competing on the celebrity golf circuit, but said that he'll "be back with a vengeance" next year. He also added that his short game is much improved thanks to his sweet backyard golf hole. However, shockingly, there's one thing he hasn't done there yet.
“I still have yet to hit a hole-in-one on that hole," Mahomes said. "I’ve hit a thousand, minimum, golf balls and I’ve been really close, never gotten one in.”
That's right. No holes-in-one. On his own backyard golf hole. You can watch the entire golf-related exhange below:
Now to be fair, Mahomes added that the hole is 130 yards long, so it's not exactly a chip shot. Still, it's bit of a stunner from one of the world's best athletes.
Anyway, being No. 4 on that Top 100 list is sure to motivate the three-time Super Bowl winner even more on the field this season. And when it comes to golf, Pat doesn't even have to leave his house to find something to shoot for.
