Silly golf

PITTSFORD, N.Y. -- There is so much rain falling that making a solid golf swing is practically impossible. Cristie Kerr looked almost bemused after her driver practically slipped out of her hands as she blocked her drive on 17 to the right.

Both Kerr and Miyazato bogeyed 14, then Kerr got one back on 15. For one hole, she had a seven-shot lead, but Miyazato birdied 16 to get back to -7, six behind Kerr who's at -13.

After spending more time in the wet rough on 17, both players managed to save par and are now heading to the final hole, no doubt in desperate need of a good toweling down.
