Rocket Mortgage Classic odds 2023: Do you trust Rickie Fowler?

Patrick Smith
It's not as otherworldly as the run Scottie Scheffler has been on, but Rickie Fowler's recent tear is also worthy of some serious praise.
This season, Fowler has made 16 of 17 cuts, with 13 of those finishes coming inside the top 20. He's gained strokes with his irons in all but one of those starts, and he's been a positive tee-to-green and around-the-green player for eight consecutive weeks.
Yet he's been unable to turn that into a win, which will make it very hard for bettors to trust him as one of the top favorites at this week's Rocket Mortgage Classic. Fowler can be found as low as 12-1 on the BetMGM Sportsbook and as high as 14-1 on the DraftKings Sportsbook as of this writing. He has one top 20 in four tries in this event.
Fowler is joined at the top of the board by Tony Finau and Collin Morikawa, while Justin Thomas, who seemingly snapped out of it last week at TPC River Highlands, is the fourth favorite at 16-1. Max Homa and Hideki Matsuyama round out the names at sub-20-to-1 odds.
