Rickie Fowler brings Ryder Cup trophy to Arnold Palmer's memorial service
From his 1975 bag on the first tee to overwhelming testimonies on his contributions to the sport, the Hazeltine grounds were awash with Arnold Palmer's spirit last weekend. It now appears the Ryder Cup will repay the favor.
On his way to Tuesday's memorial service in Latrobe, Rickie Fowler Tweeted a photo of the trophy, letting the world know its intended destination.
No American encapsulated the Ryder Cup like Palmer, who was seven-for-seven in guiding the United States to triumph in the event. It's only fitting the 2016 American Ryder Cup trophy begins its victory lap by paying its final respects to the King.
