    Save for later

Back in February, Skratch's Dan Rapaport had on England's Dan Brown for an interview on his "Dan on Golf" YouTube show. The title of the video, which you can watch here, was "The next John Daly?"

Safe to say, on Saturday at the PGA Championship, Brown made good on that prediction.

Brown, who began the day at three over par and went off at 9:06 a.m., couldn't get anything going early, making three straight pars to start and then a brutal double bogey at the fourth. He remained stuck in neutral a good while after that, making 10 straight pars.

There was one highlight at the 12th, though, not for Brown but for two fans who got him to stop for a selfie, a wild move on Moving Day at a major championship. This was no ordinary selfie, however. All three bros in frame, Brown included, were huffing darts:

    Dudes rock.

By the way, it cannot be stressed enough how preposterous of a move this is DURING a round of a MAJOR. Not even the cigarette part. The selfie part. Asking pros for pictures and autographs is going to get you nothing in return during play at the Bank of Utah Championship, let alone the PGA Championship.

Unless, of course, you ask Brown, in which case you all grab a cig and say cheese. What a legend. While Brown did bogey the 15th, he birdied the final three holes to shoot an even-par 70. That's called a rally cig, folks.
