PGA Championship 2026: Cameron Young three-putts from three feet, proves he's human

Save for later

Cameron Young has been arguably the hottest golfer on the planet over the last nine months. That's why what happened to him on the second hole on Saturday was so stunning.

Coming off an eagle to finish Friday's second round at the PGA Championship at two under, Young was still at that number on Aronimink's No. 6, which is playing as a pseudo drivable par 4 due to the wind. After driving it up by the green, Young looked like he'd pick up a storke when he pitched his approach to three feet. And then disaster struck.

Young missed his short birdie putt, giving the green a hard tap down with his putter. Then he missed the comebacker, leaned back in disgust and put a hand on his face. It's about the most demonstrative you'll ever see the World No. 3 on a golf course. Anyway, have a look:

Pain is right. That even hurts to watch. Especially if you backed one of the most popular picks coming into the event.

Anyway, Young clearly isn't out of the tournament yet, but with such a bunched leaderboard, every short putt—or two—means that much more.
