1. Oklahoma State (Last week: 1)
Peter who? The Cowboys took care of business in Hawaii without their top player, winning by four strokes after posting 34-under 830. Suffice it to say, Mike McGraw will be spending the spring trying to identify reliable No. 4 and 5 players behind Uihlein,Morgan Hoffmann and Kevin Tway.Drew Page, congrats on tossing your name in the mix.
Next event: Puerto Rico Classic, Rio Mar CC, Rio Grande, Puerto Rico, Feb. 20-22

2. Florida (3)
They were the best team in the field at the JU Invitational and should have won the event. Still, to take care of business with a 25-stroke victory shows that the Gators aren't going to rest on any laurels. Same for individual medalist Bank Vongvanij. Hard to pick against them in their next start.
Next event: Gator Invitational, Mark Bostick GC, Gainesville, Fla., Feb. 12-13

3. UCLA (2)
Hard to complain about shooting 28-under in your first start of the spring. If not for a slow start in round 1, the Bruins might have walked away with the team rather than a third-place finish. Patrick Cantlay's final 36 holes (15 under with no bogeys) has to be encouraging, even after losing medalist honors to Oregon's Daniel Miernicki on the seventh playoff hole.
Next event: Battle at the Beach, Pelican Hill Golf Resort, Newport Beach, Calif., Feb. 13-15

4. Alabama (4)
Five Crimson Tide players are tuning up for the trip to Puerto Rico by competing in this weekend's Jones Cup. No truth to the rumor that coach Jay Seawell is using it as a qualifier.
Spring opener: Puerto Rico Classic, Rio Mar CC, Rio Grande, Puerto Rico, Feb. 20-22

5. San Diego State (NR)
An eight-stroke victory at this week's Arizona Intercollegiate is their second of the 2010-11 campaign, a season where the Aztecs haven't finished worse than third in four starts. Todd Baek and Alex Kang played as if there was no winter break, lower stroke averages to 70.75 and 70.25 respectively Could be an interesting spring for these upstarts.
Next event: Battle at the Beach, Pelican Hill Golf Resort, Newport Beach, Calif., Feb. 13-15
