    NCAA women's D-I regional bids handed out

    April 27, 2009

    Newly crowned Pac-10 champion Arizona State, UCLA and Virginia, three of the top five teams in the latest Golf World/NGCA coaches' poll, earned the three top seeds as the NCAA Division I women's golf committee announced April 27 the 63 teams and nine individuals to play in the three regional tournaments, set for May 7-9.

    Defending NCAA champ USC earned the No. 2 seed in the West Regional.

    The low eight teams from each regional and the low two individuals not on those teams, advance to the 28th NCAA Championship at Caves Valley GC near Baltimore, May 19-22.
