    Save for later

It’s time to return to The House That Jack Built. This year’s Memorial Tournament at the renovated Muirfield Village is shaping up to be quite the event with the top five players in the FedEx Cup standings all looking to impress The Golden Bear.

The most recent Memorial winner, 2020 champ Jon Rahm, can potentially be the first man to defend his title since Tiger Woods in 2001. Along with the Spaniard, this tournament will feature big names such as 2018 winner Bryson DeChambeau, Justin Thomas, Rory McIlroy, Tony Finau and Viktor Hovland.

Of course you'll want to watch the players, but you'll also want to watch the course as it will be a major storyline over the next few days. Last year, Muirfield Village was unusually difficult as the grounds crew let the course get firm and fast before tearing it up for renovations. The big changes now include irrigation work, a brand-new Precision Aire system, state-of-the-art fairways and greens and more than 140 trees added around the course. Also, the course can play up to 100 yards longer now. Not bad for a year’s work.

The winner of this event will receive 550 FedEx Cup points and a $1.674 million share of the $9.3 million purse.
