Matt Kuchar shows off supernatural skills, has wind blow ball into hole for him

October 15, 2015

There are only two conclusions to be drawn from this highlight of Matt Kuchar in the Fiji International on Thursday: Either it was really windy out there, or Kuchar has recently added wizardry to his skill set.

Let's assume it was the former. Playing in 40 mph winds , Kuchar missed a long par attempt at Natadola Bay Golf Course, then watched a gale blow his ball back some six feet toward him. He missed the ensuing bogey putt when his ball slid two feet past, but after waiting a permissible 10 seconds, the wind blew the ball into the hole. It was the rare break on a day when Kuchar shot 74 and no one in the field of 154 players broke par.

“I don’t think I’ve ever seen a ball blown backwards two-feet into the hole,” Kuchar told reporters.
