In a matter of weeks, Tiger Woods has gone from a Masters question mark to a Masters favorite. And what Woods did on the second hole of his Monday practice round certainly didn't curb the buzz around his return to Augusta National.
After hitting his second shot over the green on the par-5 second, Woods was left with a delicate chip for his third. And if we're showing you a highlight from a Monday practice round, you can probably guess what happened next:
How good was that?! Those sounded like Sunday roars from the patrons! Should we just save everyone some time and hand Tiger a fifth green jacket now?!
Sorry, but it's hard not to get worked up about Woods going back to work at Augusta National after missing two of the past three Masters. Our Joel Beall described the palpable excitement upon his Monday arrival, and the 14-time major champ made clear his goals for this week in a recent post on his website: "I'm just there to win."
We're glad to hear it, Big Cat, and we're glad to see you backing up those words so early in the week. But we'd also prefer that you save some of that magic for Thursday-Sunday.
