Save for later

There are two par 4s at Fields Ranch East in Frisco, Texas, that were reachable during the third round of the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship. That is, they were reachable for the players who can hit it over 300 yards. The seventh hole played 311 yards and the 15th was 236 yards (which is the shortest the hole has played this week). Yealimi Noh took advantage of both opportunities, hitting drives so close you’d have thought she was using a wedge.

Here’s the first, which nearly goes in and settles three feet from the hole.

Next, on the 15th hole, Noh puts it to eight feet.

The 23 year old, who won the 2025 Founders Cup, is ranked 15th in strokes gained/off the tee this season. The wind has been gusting at Fields Ranch East. From the way the flags were moving in both videos, her accuracy in that amount of wind is all the more impressive. Unfortunately, those two holes were the only under-par holes for Noh in the third round. She made six bogeys and 10 pars, finishing with a two-over 74.

“My round was all over the place. Started off with a bunch of bogeys and then I think I hit my driver better than I did my shorter iron clubs,” Noh said after the round. “Those two eagles—I don't think I've ever done that. That was pretty cool.”

Noh is two over for the tournament, tied for sixth and eight shots from the leader, Minjee Lee. But knowing she’s able to take advantage of those two eagle opportunities has to give Noh some confidence going into Sunday.
