Kendrick who? LIV Golf announce pro golf’s first ‘halftime show’ in Riyadh

Season four of LIV Golf is upon us and there are big changes afoot in the Saudi-backed league. Greg Norman is out, Fox Sports is in, U.S. Open exemptions have arrived and shorts have gone the way of Ol' Yeller. But that all pales in comparison to LIV’s biggest addition in 2025, a seismic innovation that might veyr well crack the core of golf like an egg:
Halftime shows.
On Super Bowl weekend, golf’s USFL is going to toe-to-toe with the man who took down Drake armed with little more than some drones and fireworks. If that doesn't sound like a recipe for disaster to you, let us say it again:
A golf HALFTIME SHOW.
As if players didn’t hate the weather horn enough, LIV are now going to ask them to stop mid-backswing while they fire off some roman candles. As if the pace of play wasn’t already glacial, they’re going to make every player hold in place so some nerds can fly drones around. We’re all for innovation, but unless LIV are going to have Scott Stapp in a Cowboys jersey belting out “Higher" while a bunch of weirdos soar around on wires like some sort of redneck ‘Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon,’ what’s the point?
Anyway, don’t let our haterade ruin this historic moment for you. Pro golf’s first-ever halftime show is scheduled to coincide with LIV’s first-ever night round, under the lights at Riyadh Golf Club on Thursday. You can watch all the, ahem fireworks, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. ET live on FS1.
