PGA Championship 2021: Jordan Spieth’s Under Armour “X” shirt just blinded the internet like an eclipse
It’s a major week here on Planet Golf. That means a few things. Course setup is going to be a BIG issue, some guy who hasn’t played well in years will somehow be in pursuit of a career grand slam, and there will be one fashion moment that turns the internet upside down and shakes it until its lunch money comes pouring out.
This is that moment.
That’s the Under Armour shirt Jordan Spieth was wearing during his final PGA Championship tune up on Wednesday and, as you can probably guess, it sparked some capital-T Takes on Golf Twitter. Consume.
Now if Xander Schauffele showed up to Kiawah with a giant X on his back after coming up just short at Augusta, we’d be like hell yeah, this dude’s taking this thing. For Spieth who, you know, doesn’t have an X in is name, isn’t a superhero/wrestler/monster truck driver, and is, last time we checked, not a sentient treasure chest, it’s a little odd. We do thank him, Twitter, and especially Under Armour for the entertainment, however. Long may it continue . . . or at least until 2025.
