Jim Furyk has not played on the PGA Tour since September, when he pulled out of the BMW Championship with a wrist injury. The ailment failed to heal with rest, forcing the 17-time tour winner to opt for surgery in February.

On Friday, Furyk announced the wrist is good to go, and is returning to play in next week's Wells Fargo Championship.

The 45-year-old Furyk has also committed to the Players Championship the following week.

Though he's pegged as an assistant captain, Furyk still hopes to make his 10th consecutive Ryder Cup as a player. He's currently 37th in team standings.
