Instead of being in a playoff, Billy Horschel spent his Monday morning in about the worst way imaginable

    November 21, 2016

Billy Horschel's bid for a fourth career PGA Tour title ended with a painful miss from close range. And a day later, he's bound to experience even more discomfort -- thanks to a trip to the dentist.

Horschel was abruptly eliminated from a five-man playoff at the RSM classic when he pushed a putt from inside of two feet. So instead of returning to Sea Island on Monday to continue playing, Horschel spent his Monday in about the worst way imaginable.

Getting your wisdom teeth pulled? Right before Thanksgiving? Double ouch.

Horschel, 29, also tweeted this congratulatory message to winner Mackenzie Hughes.

After what he went through Sunday evening on the course -- and Monday morning off it -- Horschel is an early front-runner for this season's good sport award.
