Hasn't Gruden suffered enough?

How low do you have to be that John Daly is calling to cheer you up? After Jon Gruden was fired as the head coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, he apparently had to endure commiseration from John Daly, who phoned the coach and later called him "one of my best friends" in this interview with Tampa Bay's 10.

Daly apparently has been in the Tampa area for Super Bowl festivities, when he gave the interview regarding Gruden, who infamously caddied for Daly following a rain delay at the PODS Championship last March.

Daly said he left Gruden a phone message after the Buccaneers fired the coach. "I just said, 'You know what, I'm here for you. I've been through a lot. You know, you get to spend time with your family. Get a lot of money for the next three years whether you coach or not.' I don't know if it helped him, but he called right back and said, 'Thanks.'"

"I'm the one who doesn't have a job right now."
