Last year Davis Love III became the third-oldest winner in PGA Tour history at the Wyndham Championship. This year, he'll use it as an important test for those looking to make the U.S. Ryder Cup team. Love is recovering from hip surgery, but that won't keep the North Carolina native from watching for potential captain's picks. Between that and this being the last chance to earn a spot in the FedEx Cup Playoffs, a lot is on the line in Greensboro. Here's who we think will have big weeks.

Jim Furyk: Looking for his first win since last April, Furyk is also motivated to move up both the Ryder Cup and FedEx Cup standings. Oh yeah, he just shot a 58.

Rickie Fowler: After a disappointing second round in Rio, Fowler tweeted a last-minute commitment to this tournament in an effort to make the Ryder Cup squad on his own. The 63 he shot the next day indicates he's in great shape to do just that.

Wesley Bryan: How about this former trick-shot artist's rise? After earning the battlefield promotion to the PGA Tour with his third Web.com Tour win of the season, Bryan finished T-8 in his first start as an official member of the tour. There's more where that came from, but he's going to need an even bigger effort this week if he's to earn a spot in the FedEx Cup Playoffs.

Ryan Moore: Coming off his fifth PGA Tour title at the John Deere Classic, Moore returns to the site of his first triumph in 2009. He hasn't been mentioned much in the discussion of possible Ryder Cup captain's picks, but back-to-back wins would certainly do the trick.
