Laura Wearn's closing stretch of holes during the final round of the Epson Tour's Carlisle Arizona Women's Golf Classic was about as crazy as you'll see. When you actually see how she made her final score, though, it gets even crazier.

Wearn finished T-32 in the event won by 2020 Women's British Open champ Sophia Popov, but she took a particularly rocky road to get there. Wearn went double, bogey, double, birdie, double, eagle(!) to close out the tournament. Wild stuff. And luckily someone recorded that eagle because it's about as ridiculous as it gets.

After Wearn's second shot wound up on the edge of a penalty area, the righty was left with no stance. So, she flipped a wedge around and attempted a left-handed chip. Even the slightest mishit would have caused her golf ball to find the water. Instead, she did this to enter the shot-of-the-year conversation:

Wow. Just avoiding the water would have been a success. Putting it on the green would have been great. But knocking it in the hole for an eagle? Absolutely ridiculous, indeed.

Thanks to Ryan French, AKA Monday Q Info, for sharing that, because that was amazing. And just the latest reminder that these guys—and gals—are good. Really freaking good.
