Earlier this week, Emiliano Grillo said he's watched Angel Cabrera's win at the 2007 U.S. Open about 100 times. The highlights have served as motivation through Grillo's career as he arrived at Oakmont. "It proves to you that somebody from Argentina could do it. And if he could do it, why not me?"
Grillo won't quite follow in his countryman's footsteps and take home the trophy this week, but he's had a solid U.S. Open debut by making the cut. And on Sunday, he paid tribute to his idol with his outfit:
Of course, there are slight differences in sponsors -- and weight -- but it was good effort by Grillo. And a nice display of respect on Father's Day to a man who is 23 years his elder.
