Dustin Johnson: The Tour's Leading Graduate

October 06, 2008

The PGA Tour's Fall Finish was designed for players such as Dustin Johnson. With the majors and FedEx Cup points past history, the remaining events on the tour season are designed to provide players on the cusp of retaining their tour status for 2009 a chance to secure their cards. Johnson did so at the Turning Stone Resort Championship at Atunyote GC in Verona, N.Y.

Johnson's $1,080,000 check moved him from outside the top 125 to 41st on the PGA Tour money list. The 24-year-old PGA Tour rookie is now the leading money winner among last year's Qualifying School or Nationwide Tour graduates.
