Conference preview: ACC

Back again by popular demand are my "fearless" predictions for how the various conferences will shake out on both the men's and women's sides. Well look at each of the major conferences over the next few days. As always, if you think I'm on target or off base, make sure to let me know with your comments.

Predicted player of the year: Webb Simpson, Wake Forest

Predicted freshman of the year:Drew Kittleson, Florida State

NCAA Regional bound: Clemson, Georgia Tech, Florida State, Duke, Wake Forest, North Carolina, Virginia Tech

Team on the rise: Florida State

Biggest question mark: North Carolina

Wouldn't surprise me to see: Virginia Tech's Drew Weaver, the reigning British Amateur champion, use the confidence built this past summer to be an all-ACC selection.

Would shock me to see: Duke, with new coach O.D. Vincent, not win at least two team titles.
