The clubs Wyndham Clark used to win the 2020 Bermuda Championship

Wyndham Clark won the Bermuda Championship with a memorable final round to grab his first PGA Tour victory at Port Royal Golf Club. Clark shot a final-round 65 that included seven birdies in his first 11 holes before Brian Gay caught him late, forcing a playoff that Clark won.

A friend of Christian McCaffery, who he played high school basketball with, Clark performed much like how the NFL star typically does on Sundays. Clark drove the ball well and his iron game was near flawless as he hit 17 of 18 greens in regulation. Provided with ample opportunities, Clark made his share of putts, including a 20-footer on No. 11—a left-to-right snapper that caught the right edge—to stretch his lead to three shots at the time.

Clark’s driver is PXG’s 0811X+ with a Mitsubishi Diamana 60x shaft. The adjustable hosel is set to bring the loft down to 9 degrees while also flattening the lie angle. Clark also puts the movable weights with the heavier weights in the heel area to produce a draw bias. “The weights help because I tend to fade the ball,” Clark told Golf Digest in 2019. “It flattens that fade so my misses are way smaller.” For the week, Clark ranked second in driving distance at 310.5 yards.

His irons are PXG’s 0211FB prototypes with Nippon Modus 130X shafts with Golf Pride Tour Velvet cord grips, and his putter is the company’s Gunboat mallet model. Clark ranked T-6 in greens in regulation for the week and was second in putts per GIR—a solid combination.

Clark has a lengthy history with PXG, playing the company’s clubs during his senior year in college at Oregon (which was the first college PXG signed with to provide equipment). “I remember it was raining,” Clark said of his testing of the company’s equipment. “But it was a good session. That’s how I started using their clubs.”

Now he’s won with them, too.
