For this week's edition of the Podcast, I'm sticking inside my own world of sports journalism. and talking with Brian Murphy, a golf columnist for Yahoo! Sports and co-author of a new book about college golf entitled "The Last Putt: Two Teams, One Dream and a Freshman Named Tiger."
The book, written with Neil Hayes and set to be released April 5 by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, chronciles the rivalry between the Oklahoma State and Stanford men's golf teams in the mid-1990s, one that culminated with the 1995 NCAA Championship at Ohio State's Scarlet Course, where the Cowboys beat the Cardinal in the championship's first-ever sudden-death playoff.
Murphy is a veteran golf writer who covered the beat for the San Francisco Chroncile from 2001 to 2004, winning Associated Press Sports Editor writing awards three times.
