Presidents Cup 2024: Ben An calls out Wyndham Clark's 's***' play and behavior

MONTREAL — Ben An apologized for taking a social-media swipe at Wyndham Clark Saturday evening at the Presidents Cup.
The PGA Tour posted a video of the American team celebrating Patrick Cantlay’s winning putt against Tom Kim and Si Woo Kim, a match that featured numerous theatrical performances from both International players—highlighted by Si Woo running around the 16th green replicating Steph Curry’s “night night” celebration. The video showed Clark, after Si Woo missed a potential-tying putt, mirroring the “night night” celebration in the Internationals direction.
An, 33, took to Twitter/X to reply about the video, remarking, “You always have a guy in your group, who doesn’t do **** but talk **** all day.”
An’s remark followed Tim Kim’s accusation that American players were cussing in his direction during his match. “I think the start of the round was definitely a little harder, but as it got towards the end, it got a little feisty out there. I could hear some players cursing at us,” Kim said. “That part wasn't really … I don't think there was good sportsmanship there. But it's all part of the fun. I understand it. So the U.S. team definitely motivated us to go out there.” Later in the interview, Kim doubled-down on his assertion: “You see me out there throwing fist pumps and jumping on the green. It's all part of it, I get it. I just don't think there's a need to look at someone and curse at them. I just don't think there's a need for it.”
However, An ultimately took down his social-media post and offered up an apology.
“I’m deleting my tweet,” An said. “My apologies. I want to be a better person than that.”
An, who is making his second Presidents Cup appearance this week, sat out both sessions on Saturday. He takes on Sahith Theegala in Sunday singles.
