A new PGA Tour, LPGA sponsorship concern

Stanford Financial Group is under investigation by the FBI and SEC, the Wall Street Journal and others are reporting.

This is not good news for either the PGA Tour or the LPGA, both of which already have seen tournaments canceled by sponsor Ginn Resorts.

Stanford Financial Group sponsors the Stanford St. Jude Championship on the PGA Tour and the new Stanford Financial Tour Championship on the LPGA.
