A low point for High Pointe is a sign of the times

The home page of High Pointe Golf Club near Traverse City, Mich., has this simple announcement:

"Due to difficult economic times in the country, especially Michigan, we have decided not to open High Pointe Golf Club for this 2009 golf season."

High Pointe is an early Tom Doak design near Traverse City, Mich.
