A Club Unlike Any Other
Editor's Note: This article is written in partnership with Epic Golf Club.

In Golf Digest’s biennial ranking of America’s 100 Greatest Golf Courses, you’ll find many of the most exclusive clubs in the country, yet you won’t spot one of the most exclusive clubs—one which accepts only one percent of applications—and not because of underwhelming course architecture. In fact, it has no course at all.
Epic Golf Club is not a traditional golf club but rather a private golf society comprised of over 1,000 members in the U.S. and around the world. The common denominator? Every Epic member is also a member at a prestigious private club, creating a collective of golfers who boast memberships to over 1,200 private clubs, including 85 percent of the top 200 private courses in the country.
Epic members invite and host each other at these exclusive clubs by working with the company’s full-service concierge team. Simply provide the dates you are looking to play a certain private course, and the concierge team coordinates your round with a fellow Epic member. Through these connections, Epic members create a network of valuable relationships with golfers far beyond their home club.
“I have made core friendships with so many passionate golfers that I otherwise would never have met,” says one Epic member. “Through these friendships, I have gained access to their golf networks as well, expanding my chances to achieve my goal of playing all 200 of the top courses in the United States.”
In addition to the concierge service, Epic curates and hosts up to 40 events across the country each year. They are Epic’s “member-member” of sorts, except instead of a once- or twice-a-year shindig at one course, like at many clubs, Epic’s events are held year-round at many of the most exclusive private clubs in the country.
Much like a traditional private club, the vetting process to become an Epic member is extensive to ensure that the membership remains a group of well-intentioned avid golfers. Also much like a traditional club, Epic has an initiation fee and annual dues to help maintain its status as an exclusive private golf collective.
To be eligible for an Epic membership, golfers must be members at a private club. Interested golfers are encouraged to schedule an introductory call with Epic’s membership directors. After a multi-step interview process, golfers may be invited to join the club and start scheduling rounds with fellow members across the country and world.
Epic may not be officially on America’s 100 Greatest Golf Courses ranking, but look a little closer, and its members are well represented at clubs up and down the list. Reach out to Epic’s membership directors today to inquire about joining the club.
