A caddie comeback?
Dennis Cone, the founder and CEO of the Professional Caddies Association, believes there's a chance.
"The baby boomers are now starting to play and they said, 'We want to walk,'" he tells the Associated Press. "So I see a bigger future for the caddie comeback ... as long as the resorts can attract folks with great deals."
A caddie comeback would be great, but is Cone being overly optimistic? Do the baby boomers, in fact, want to walk? And in a recession, are they willing to pay more for a caddie than they'd be required to pay for a cart?
